Well, how did you enjoy the Nursery Rhymes? I guess there are lots that you didn't know. Ask your parents and grandparents to tell you some. See if they know any that I don't!
50 points to the first person to respond to the posting :)
The Nursery Rhymes were fun! I had Three Blind Mice, and at first I though it had no meaning, but after doing a bit of research I found out that it did have a meaning and that this nursery rhyme was insprired by true events which I thought was a little bit strange. I never though any nursery rhyme had a meaning. Weren't they supposed to be funny and a bit silly?
I thought that they were just silly rhymes for children.I never knew that the Black death had anything to do with ring around a rosie. Just goes to show how much I know. :)
Well done you two, just goes to show that oral history has its place in our modern society. What do you think people will be telling children in 300 years time? I hope the Nursery Rhymes are still being told.
Yes Nick, you and Kerrin get points, 50 for you and 25 for Kerrin! and Yes, we all have to do our part in sharing the rhymes, as well as reading stories to pass on too. Ask Mum and Dad if they had different Nursery Rhymes in Holland.
i found the nursery rhymes normal because i am so used to reading them but my parents dont know any different ones that i know of. i normally read them to myself rather than getting my paretns to read them to me

ReplyDeleteIf everyone passes on these Nursery Rhymes then probably people in 300 years will still know these ryhmes. That's only if we do our part!
ReplyDeleteP.S: Do Kerrin and I get 50 points?
